In the town of Shashemene, Oromia zone there has been
violence and sources tell us that more than ten people have been killed and
over twenty wounded by police. We have also learned that the head of the town’s
police force was killed due to multiple knife wounds. The cause of the violence
is said to be due to the heavy interference in to the Ethiopian Muslim’s
religion affairs by the government. We will follow up and bring you more news
as we receive them.
