The last December’s “Insecurity Council” “Sanction” against Eritrea, is a disguised blessing to united Horn of African people. It is a “Dead on Arrival” proposal for obvious reasons.
1) To begin with, it was designed in desperation to isolate the Eritrean government, which is the by-product of its long armed struggle from the people, where Woyane, with its Western masters and their indifferent Western media, had tried for years but failed to do so. The Eritrean people have learned clearly, beyond doubt, that the issues between internal political issues and Eritrean peoples’ right for existence are two different things. There would be no any compromization on the issues of identity and sovereignty.
2) Ethiopian people’s resistance against the tribalist mafia group, whom the sanctions primarily appeared to have been targeting for, is getting momentum; hence Ethiopian people are rejecting it as well. And the Ethiopian people’ resistance movement, including the “mainstream” Ethiopian democratic resistance movement, EPPF is coordinating the resistance against this fabricated sanction. Ethiopians knew by now that this “sanction” affects their rights as Ethiopians more, in their internal affairs than Eritreans at home, for it allows the mafia group to continue in destabilizing and bartering Ethiopia.
Even the opportunistic wanna-be “Eritrean Opposition group” attempted to be more Eritrean than the Eritrean people themselves, by rejecting it. They knew that the sanctions would not hold any water except identifying and polarizing who is who, more.
3) As a possible prelude to further injustice, although we do not know what was planned after this apparent trial-n-error test of “Sanction”, there is less worry about this sanction on the ground, what it can do in real sense, besides being symbolic to give Woyane an encouragement to wage another war against Eritrea, and sabotage Ethiopian freedom fighters, which this time the Woyane mafia would be alone.
Eritrea had tolerated so many illegal sanctions and diplomatic, economic, political, media, and military sabotages before by corrupt diplomats which none of them had deterred Eritreans rights for political and economic independence. From closing consulates, to invading community centers, to sabotaging currency from ex-patriots to “Terrorism” list threat, to diplomatic tit-for-tat, these corrupt officials have been there, done that but not to avail of success. The blood and bone constructed Eritreanism will never give up against the very notion of “Awet n’Hafash” that our martyrs have failed for and many more patriots have been maimed for.
4) Unlike corrupt Woyane officials’, there is no Swiss, London, or Washington Bank accounts that our people have to worry about. All the Eritrean money is spent on infrastructure building for tomorrow’s political and economic independence that every citizen is striving for.
5) There is no evidence of Eritrean government’s military involvement against the Somali puppet government on behalf of the proxy architects of these sanctions. In fact, the reality is coming out these days that the Ethiopian government and the AMISOM are the primary suppliers of the resistance movement against Somali stooges. The sanction bypasses all the crime and the injustice, including the embargo infringement done in the last 20 years against Somali people.
6) There is no border dispute, dialog, or tit-for-tat between Eritrea and Djibouti that our government would be trapped for when the whole world knew that the French reconnaissance intelligence had proved that there were no Eritrean troops positioned in side Djibouti.
In light of peace and prosperity in Horn of Africa, and with Eritrean and Ethiopian people coordinated resistance against injustice, together, this “Sanction” fiasco will be history!
Long live the Eritrean and Ethiopian people co-ordinated resistance against this unjustified “Sanction”!
